American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards Student Competition

Winter break is over, already?

Just over a week left to get your work printed, fill out the online entry and get everything dropped off.
Are you ready to show the pros what you got?

Competition Deadline is NEXT FRIDAY, JAN. 22, 2010

The American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards Student Competition is a national competition. This means that work entered at a local level can move on to District and National judging, just like the work being entered by the pros throughout the country. You can start your journey to national acclaim by entering the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation's local competition.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Enter. Go to gfafaddyawards.com/students.html for full rules, categories, guidelines and online entry.
  2. Gather. You must enter a printed version of your work (even if it is website or video, which you include a link to online or a copy on CD). Include your work in an envelope with a copy of the completed entry form. Remember one entry per envelope.
  3. Drop-Off. Gather submissions and either mail your entries or make plans to go to the drop off at:
  4. Frederick Community College
    Building F, Room 124
    7932 Opossumtown Pike,
    Frederick, Maryland, 21702
    Attention: Lisa Sheirer

For directions to the FCC drop off, visithttp://www.frederick.edu/our_campus/directions.aspx

Drop off is between Noon to 5 pm only. Remember late entries are not accepted, even if you blame your classmate's bad driving or it's the postman's fault.

  5. Pass this email on, forward to other classmates and professors. Let's get your school noticed and bring home a little gold or sliver to add to the resume.
  6. Join us at the Awards Ceremony.

Winners of the local 2010 Student ADDY competition will be announced at the GFAF ADDY Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 5:30 pm at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in downtown Frederick, Maryland. It's a great way to meet professionals in the design and advertising industry, and view their work-- as well as that of your competition--at the same time!

WALK AWAY WITH $500 and a BEST OF SHOW trophy. Visitgfafaddyawards.com for event, entrant and RSVP information.

For more information, contact Claire Urban at 301.631.9277, ext. 105 or e-mailclaire@immersionactive.com.
